There are many ice skating locations in Turku:
- The public hours at the Impivaara and Varissuo Ice Halls are open to all and free of charge.
- The Kupittaa Skating Rink and the Park Field are artificial ice skating rinks which are kept frozen during the winter season. The Kupittaa Skating Rink is free of charge. There is a small ice skating fee for the Park Field.
- It is also possible to ice skate on natural ice rinks throughout the city during winter.
The lights at the ice rink will be on when the ice is ready for skating.
Lighting is operating:
- Mon–Thu 7.30–21.00
- Fri 7.30-20.00
- Sat–Sun and midweek holidays 10.00-20.00
You cannot usually reserve the natural ice rinks, but their use is free and open for everyone. The Sports Services Centre has the general responsiblity of the ice rinks. Some ice rinks are maintained with voluntary work.
Rink is open. The skate rental is open from the 6 th of December.

On weekdays
6am-8am
12pm-12.30 pm
4pm-4.30pm
On weekends
8am-9.30am
12pm-12.30pm
3pm-3.30pm
Do not enter the ice between maintenance hours.
Skate in the direction shown. The use of poles is forbidden on the rink. The length of the rink is 500 m.

Maintenance time of the field is from 15.45 to 16.45. Going on to the ice during the maintenance time is forbidden!
Opening hours may change due to weather conditions.
Instructions for sports facility users
Don’t use the sports facilities if you are ill. Remember to keep a safety distance of 1 to 2 metres. Please obey restrictions on number of persons. Please remember hand hygiene. Cough into your sleeve. Face masks are required in indoor sports facilities at all times except during the actual physical activity.
