Who can get a summer job voucher?
Familiarise yourself properly with the voucher conditions 2026
- In 2026, the City of Turku will grant Summer Job Vouchers to young people residing in Turku who were born between 2008 and 2011.
- The value of the Summer Job Voucher is 350 €, and it may be granted only once during the season. The voucher cannot be divided between multiple employers.
- The young person may use the Summer Job Voucher for employment taking place between 1 May and 31 August 2026. The voucher is granted against a confirmed job offer. Advance reservations are not possible.
- The employer must be a company, association, organisation, parish or foundation. The voucher cannot be used for employment with the City of Turku or any other municipality, the state, a private individual or a household.
- The workplace does not need to be located in Turku.
- The employer must pay wages in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. If no applicable collective agreement exists, the wage must be reasonable and customary. The employment must comprise at least 60 hours of work. If the young person’s gross salary is less than 450€, no Summer Job Voucher compensation will be paid to the employer.
- A maximum of five Summer Job Vouchers may be granted to one employer.
- The employer of a young person who has been granted a Summer Job Voucher is entitled to 350€ in support to cover part of the young person’s wage costs.
- Compensation must be applied for no later than 31 October 2026 via the electronic Service Voucher and Purchased Services system (PSOP). A link to the system can be found at the bottom of the page.
