Turku Market Square sales premises
The following sales premises are available for hire at the Turku Market Square:
- Contract traders (annual agreement for vegetable, fruit, fish, meat, bread and flower traders)
- Farm benches (daily price for self-grown or manufactured products)
- Temporary sales premises (daily price for vendor van or tent)
- Summer cafés and ice cream kiosks

Turku Market Hall sales premises
Turku Market Hall is one of the busiest market halls in Finland, with approximately 800,000 customers visiting it every year. There are currently about 30 vendors in the Turku Market Hall. Turku Market Hall also offers a wide range of restaurants.
In January 2025, the Turku City Council decided to start strengthening the foundations of the Market Hall without delay. More information can be found on the project page.

Mobile sales premises
A bicycle, cart or moped may be used to sell and distribute products in public areas of the city without a separate lease or similar permit if the activities are short-term and no structures such as tables, chairs or stands are installed. Activities where stops are not longer than one hour shall be considered mobile activities.
Please contact the City of Turku Environmental Health Inspector before starting bicycle, cart or moped sales (mobile sales) to find out whether your operations require a notification of a mobile food premises before starting.

- Please consider the regulations on stopping and parking, other users of the area and pedestrians, smooth traffic flow, safety and accessibility.
- Please respect other operators and entrepreneurs in the area. It's more comfortable for everyone when we take each other into account.
- Structures in a public area (such as lawns) must not be harmed or damaged.
- When the area is in other use (e.g. a public event with a permit), you need the consent of the organiser of the event.
- In order to sell at the Market Square during the marketplace opening hours, you need to book sales premises.
Pop up sales location on Rettiginrinne
You can hire sales premises for pop-up sales at a daily price of EUR 20 from the Rettiginrinne stairwell (on Itäinen Rantakatu next to the Kirjastosilta library bridge). The sales device must be mobile and removed daily. No electricity is available on the Rettiginrinne staircase.
Outdoor serving areas
You can apply for an outdoor serving area with a written application. The application must be accompanied by a site plan showing the initial borders of the area and the location of the furnishings. The application is submitted to the Urban Environment Services.
If there is seating for more than five customers, you must apply for an action permit from the Building Supervision Customer Office. Fixed-term lease agreements are made for outdoor serving areas.
