Permits for permanent advertising
For permanent advertising on the City’s land areas, you need a building and placement permit. The City makes agreements for permanent advertising locations for a period of 5–10 years, and rent is charged for these locations. The amount of rent is determined by the size of the advertisement.
You can apply for a permit with an informal application. Please include the following information in your application:
- Size of the advertisement
- Number of advertisements
- Who is advertising
- What is being advertised
Temporary advertising
For short-term, temporary advertising signs, you also need permission from the landowner. Temporary advertising also includes banners that can be attached to banner locations along Naantali motorway, Hämeentie, Uudenmaantie and Tampereentie. There are also banner locations above Yliopistonkatu and Aurakatu.
Advertising stands for shops
No permit is required for advertising stands placed in front of shops. A minimum clear passage width of 1.5 metres must be left on the pavement, and the stands must be removed from the street after business hours end.
