The Funicular and its windows are cleaned. Also the track area is cleaned during the maintenance break.

The Funicular takes you accessibly and free of charge to the top of Kakolanmäki hill.

The Funicular operated between Linnankatu and Graniittilinnankatu at the address Linnankatu 55b. Travel time is about 1 minute and you can board both at the top station and at the bottom station. Using the Funicular is free.

The Funicular operates on weekdays from 04.30 to 01.00 and on weekends between 05.00 to 24.00.

  • Turku's Funicular is Finland's first outdoor cable railway system located in a city. It complements the series of mobility options that start with the letter F in Turku. Near the Funicular on the Aura River operates the 100-year-old city ferry Föri. You can get to the Funicular by city bike Fölläri, and by taking the Turku Region Transport Föli's bus line 1, which operates between the harbour and the airport.
