Fees are charged for inspection and supervisory duties of Building Control as well as for other official duties. The grounds for the fees are laid down in the Building Act and in other legislation, such as the Rescue Act, the Neighbour Relations Act and the Postal Services Act.
The fees are applied according to the date on which the matter becomes pending. The most recent fees also include fees for building control measurements (previously fees for services provided by the municipal surveyor).
