You can have your dog off the leash in fenced dog parks.  Turku has 20 dog parks around the city.  If you need them, you can find dog poop bags at stands near dog parks and nature trails.


Rules of dog parks

  • You are responsible for your dog. 
  • Keep your dog off leash inside the fenced park.
  • Do not bring an unvaccinated, sick, in heat, or angry dog into the dog park. 
  • Do not bring toys inside the fenced area.
  • Do not throw sticks, snowballs, or rocks. 
  • Pick up your dog’s waste and put it in the compost and keep the area clean. 
  • Remember to keep the gate closed. 
  • Make sure that your dog does not disturb people’s silent hours 22-7.

 

You can also find dog poop bags at stands near dog parks and nature trails. You can use those, if you're not carrying your own poop bags with you.
