What can you do in local living rooms?
Local living rooms are meeting places open to all in the residential areas of Turku.
At local living rooms, you can spend time, have a cup of coffee, meet other residents and take part in a variety of activities.
Organisations, individuals and the city organise hobbies, cultural activities, meetings and regional theme days in the living rooms.
Local living rooms are also home to a variety of groups, and residents of the area can come up with ideas for activities together.
Current activities and events
You can find lectures, activities and events organised in local living rooms on the Turku region's recreation calendar. There are also many other activities organised. Once a week, each living room hosts a neighbourhood coffee break. Check the notice board or ask the counsellor about what's happening in your local living room.

Operational objectives and development
The aim of local living rooms is to increase community spirit, prevent loneliness and create a common space for residents to organise events and activities.
Residents and organisations active in the area are involved in the development of living room activities and in the planning and implementation of activities in the areas.
If you have ideas and wishes for activities in the local living rooms, you can contact them directly. If you have ideas for wider development of local living rooms, you can contact Piia Halla from the City of Turku.
