Service description
The City of Turku’s seasonal work vouchers support young people’s employment in seasonal and temporary jobs. The vouchers are intended for young residents of Turku aged 15 to 20. An employer who hires a young person with a seasonal work voucher is entitled to financial support that covers part of the wage costs. The vouchers are issued in exchange for an agreed job placement.
Who is the service intended for?
- The young person must be 15–20 years old and a resident of Turku.
- The employer must be a company, association, organization, parish, or foundation. The voucher is not granted for employment at the City of Turku or any other municipality, with the state, or with a private individual.
- The job must include at least 60 working hours during the seasonal work voucher period.
- The employer must primarily pay wages according to the applicable collective agreement for the employment.

Instructions for Young People
- Independently apply for a job that interests you at a company, association, organization, parish, or foundation. You cannot use the voucher to get a job at the City of Turku or any other municipality, with the state, or with a private individual.
- Once you have found a job, check with the employer whether they wish to use the seasonal work voucher.
- Fill in the electronic Webropol pre-information form together with the employer.
- You will receive confirmation of the voucher being granted via email.
- Sign a written employment contract with the employer.
Instructions for Employers
- Recruit a suitable employee according to your own procedures.
- Ensure that the young person is a resident of Turku and meets the other conditions of the seasonal work voucher.
- Complete the electronic Webropol pre-information form together with the young person.
- You will receive the granted seasonal work voucher by email.
- Sign a written employment contract with the young person no later than when the employment begins. Please note that the pre-information form is not an employment contract.
- Pay the young person’s wages as soon as possible after the employment ends. Remember to provide a certificate of employment.
- Apply for reimbursement of the seasonal work voucher by the stated deadline in the electronic Service Voucher and Purchased Services System.
