Turku City Archive
The City of Turku's City Archive is responsible for the storing of the City's oldest document materials that are permanently preserved. Documents in active use can be found in the Service Divisions' own archives. Document materials used the most is described on the archives' own webpages.
How to browse materials in the archives
- It is best to order document materials for study in advance.
- Is is possible to study public documents on site upon agreement. Confidential documents can only be studied with a separate permission.
- It is not allowed to borrow materials; the materials are studied within the archive.
The customer service and research hall of the archive serve the customers according to the opening hours. Access to other archives always requires an agreement. Contact information and opening hours to the other archives can be found on the archives' own webpages that are linked at the bottom of this page.
What does it cost?
Browsing through the material is free of charge. Copying and scanning of materials will be charged according to the price list below.
