Objective of the grant
The objective of the grant is to support the provision of key cultural content, services and activities that are essential to the City’s cultural provision by awarding discretionary operating grants to companies and foundations belonging to the City Group and operating in the cultural sector.
Eligibility
Companies and foundations are eligible to apply for this grant category if they have a strategic role in the City’s overall cultural provision and the City has a specific responsibility for ensuring the continuity or development of their activities by virtue of its ownership, role as founder, the organisation’s rules or its governance arrangements.

Significance of the activities within the City’s overall cultural provision
- The grant recipient’s activities strengthen the City’s overall cultural provision as referred to in the Act on Cultural Activities in Local Government and support the achievement of the objectives of other key legislation in the cultural sector, such as the Museums Act and the Act on the Promotion of Performing Arts.
- The grant recipient’s activities generate cultural value, as well as social value or value that strengthens the City’s vitality, in line with the City’s objectives.
