The Sports Committee has approved changes to the prices of Sports Services admission products and services from 2027. Prices for season and multi-visit products, single admission fees and equipment hire will increase by approximately 2.5%.
The Sports Services price list is being updated due to the general increase in costs, changes in taxation practices and inconsistencies identified in the current price list. The aim is to keep prices reasonable, encourage customers to exercise regularly and make the range of products clearer and easier to understand.
Moderate price increases for most products
The general cost level has risen by approximately 2.5% since the previous price review in 2025. As a result, prices for season products, multi-visit products, single admission fees and equipment hire will increase by approximately the same amount on average.
The prices of the family ticket and Kimmoke wristband will remain unchanged. Keeping the family ticket at its current price supports families’ opportunities to use the City’s sports services. Keeping the price of the Kimmoke wristband unchanged promotes equal opportunities to exercise and helps reduce inequalities in health and wellbeing.
Sports wristband pricing and use to become clearer
The prices of Exercise wristbands and Senior Wristband will increase slightly from January 2027. The four-month Exercise wristband will cost EUR 86. The price for discount groups and Senior Wristband customers will be EUR 43. The new price of the 10-time pass of Exercise wristband will be EUR 66 and EUR 33 for discount groups.
The Wristband Extra, which includes instructed exercise, will cost EUR 110 for adults and EUR 67 for discount groups. The use of the Exercise Wristband Extra will also be simplified. Access to both independent and instructed exercise will be valid for four months. It will no longer be possible to purchase access to instructed exercise only in addition to a valid Exercise wristband. The changes to the Extra product are based on experiences from its first year of use and feedback from customers and partner sports clubs.
Winter swimming and baby swimming prices to change
The price of winter swimming will be adjusted due to a change in taxation practices. According to the Finnish Tax Administration’s new interpretation, winter swimming is considered a recreational activity, which means that the applicable VAT rate will increase from 13.5% to 25.5%.
The price of the baby swimming course will also increase to make the pricing of swimming courses more consistent. The change will make the pricing structure clearer and ensure equal treatment of customers.
The new Sports Services prices and other changes will take effect on 1 January 2027.
