The street network in the port area is being renewed. Temporary traffic arrangements will be in place, affecting local residents as well as passenger and freight traffic to and from the port.

Closure of Linnankatu from 8 September 2025

Linnankatu will be closed between Vallihaudankatu and Satamakatu. Traffic will be diverted to a detour route until summer 2026. The closure applies to all traffic.

Passenger car, bus and service traffic to the port terminals will be routed via Vallihaudankatu and Satamakatu. Pedestrians and cyclists can also use Nuottasaarenkatu.

Detour routes are marked with traffic signs. The area is also signposted for cyclists and pedestrians.

Kartta Turun sataman katujen rakennustöistä ajalla syyskuu 2025 – helmikuu 2026. Oranssilla on merkitty työalueet ja liikenteeltä suljetut kadut, kuten osa Linnankatua ja Satamakatua. Kartassa näkyvät myös jalankulku- ja pyöräreitit, henkilöautoliikenteen, linja-autoliikenteen sekä huolto- ja pelastusliikenteen reitit. Mukana on pysäköintipaikat (P), bussipysäkit ja laivaterminaalit Silja Line ja Viking Line sekä Turun linna.

The detour route for works on Linnankatu runs via Valllihaudankatu and Satamakatu back to Linnankatu. Pedestrians and cyclists can also use Nuottasaarenkatu.

Construction of Streets in the Port Area

The traffic diversions around the port are due to a major street construction project aimed at improving traffic flow in the area.
