There are several charging points for electric cars in Turku and in the Turku region.

As the number of electric cars increases, so do the services that support them. Electric car users are well cared for and public charging points for electric cars can be found in workplaces, housing associations, garages and shop forecourts, for example. Public charging points will also be increased in response to growing demand.

The battery of an electric vehicle can be charged from the electric grid using a charger, for example at home, at work, or at an electric vehicle charging point, which often has a fast-charging feature. With fast charging, the battery is almost fully charged in about half an hour. Depending on the car and the conditions, a single charge can the car a range of more than 500 kilometres.

Charging points can be found on the City of Turku's Service Map, which also shows the operator of the electric charging station, the type, number and capacity of the charging points, and whether the charging point is free or chargeable.

The city is investing in the electrification of the traffic and 16 charging streets will be built in the Turku city centre area between 2026–2030.
