Renovation work begins at the junction of Satakunnantie and Tampereentie next week. The worksite affects traffic arrangements in the area.
Construction work is carried out in the junction areas of Satakunnantie, Tampereentie, Yrjänänkatu, Raunistulanramppi and Virusmäenramppi, as well as on Tampereentie between Pyrkivänkuja and Oikotie. The project is estimated to be completed in August 2027.
The project includes the renovation of street structures, water supply and sewerage, drainage structures, lighting, traffic light systems and other infrastructure.
Temporary traffic arrangements are in place in the area, there are changes to driving routes and possible temporary changes to access routes to properties during the work.
The work will begin with water supply and sewerage works at the junction of Satakunnantie and Tampereentie. As the work progresses, the work area will move towards Tampereentie, and lanes will be closed according to the needs of the worksite. The lane turning from the direction of the city centre to Yrjänänkatu is going to be taken out of use, after which access to Yrjänänkatu happens via the ramps.
As a rule, the work will be carried out on weekdays between 7.00 and 18.00. At the most challenging locations for traffic, work will also be carried out in the evening and at night, when disruption to traffic is as limited as possible.
As part of the renovation, the surfaces of Aninkaisten silta will also be renewed. In connection with this, the much-requested removal of the transverse stone strips on the pedestrian and cycling routes is carried out.
