Advisory service for organisations and communities supports organisations, associations and communities with an immigrant background, as well as international and multicultural organisations, associations and communities operating in Turku. You can get support for developing your activities, grants, networking, cooperation with the city and setting up an association.

Advice for organisations and communities

Advisory service for organisations and communities provides guidance and support to organisations, associations, communities and volunteers operating in Turku. The service also assists new or emerging associations, as well as informal groups. 

The advisory service can help you with matters such as:

  • setting up an association 
  • planning and developing activities 
  • administration, rules and good governance 
  • the organisation of voluntary activities 
  • cooperation with the City of Turku 
  • identifying networks and building partnerships 
  • access to venues and organising events
  • issues relating to inclusion, equality and diversity.

The service also provides information on grants and funding opportunities from the City of Turku and other organisations. Our advisory service can help you find a suitable grant, understand the application process and prepare your applications. 

In particular, associations set up by immigrants are offered support regarding Finnish organisational practices, funding opportunities and the development of their activities. Advice is available in Finnish and English. 

Where and when?

The service is available at Monitori in Kauppatori (International House Turku). 
You can drop in without an appointment on Mondays from 9.00–12.00 and 13.00–16.00. Advice is also available by telephone and via Teams.
