The gym is available exclusively to Senior wristband holders during specific times. The gym is intended for older residents of Turku. In addition, Turku-based associations can inquire about booking time slots for senior activities from the wellness center coordinator.

Equipment

The gym is equipped with HUR air-pressure machines suitable for seniors.

Arrival and Accessibility

The entrance is located in the inner courtyard on the Koulukatu side. The exterior door is open from 8:00 to 14:00. After that, the door can be opened using the senior wristband reader located next to the entrance.

  • The gym is located on the basement level of the Wellbeing Centre. The gym can be reached from the lobby either by stairs or by elevator (basement level). The gym entrance is located close to both the staircase and the elevator. The gym door opens using a senior wristband.
  • Changing rooms are located adjacent to the gym. Shower facilities are not available. A toilet is located in the corridor next to the gym.
  • Access to the gym and the gym facilities is otherwise accessible, but there is a threshold of approximately two centimetres at the gym entrance.
