Workplace Finnish Training
Workplace Finnish and Swedish training improves the Finnish language vocabulary of employees with a foreign language background while also providing better orientation to the work community and job tasks. The training may include, for example, studies in professional terminology, customer service situations, occupational safety instructions, workplace guidelines and orientation materials, as well as practice in various workplace interaction situations.
Workplace Finnish training is implemented as jointly procured training, meaning that Turku Employment Region covers part of the training costs. The company’s share is 30%, 40%, or 50%, depending on the size of the company.
Jointly procured training may include:
- recruitment training, when additional employees are needed
- tailored training, when employees need additional skills
- change training, when dismissed employees are to be given better opportunities for re-employment
Workplace Finnish and Swedish training is most often implemented as tailored training.
