The Scale-up project will create a generic platform that enables different ticket combinations to make it easier to integrate Föli's tickets into different ticket products.

In addition, park-and-ride facilities will be created in the Föli app, and this will be tested in commuting traffic and in connection with various events in 2024.

In addition, the measure promotes dialogue with various Mobility as a Service actors and promotes the emergence of new business models. In this regard, the project will promote the creation of bicycle services and the development of parking-related ancillary services in particular.

Parking development

As part of the development of parking, Turku Parkkihub has been taken into use, where the project will create capabilities to support flexible parking based on data and its monitoring. The management of the spatial data set for parking in the parking hub has been facilitated, data analysis templates have been developed to assist in the compilation and planning of large-scale actual parking spaces, import/export functions have been added and, as a second-phase development by combining different parking data sources, machine learning is used to create a predictive system for eliminating data deviations – deviations are caused by, for example, users of parking permits for people with reduced mobility and other forms of permit parking

Parkkihub is a parking database that collects and stores parking data from digital sources. It is an open source system based on PARIS1.0, developed by the City of Stockholm. The development work has been continued by both the City of Helsinki and the City of Turku.

Based on the information in the parking hub, you can see the real-time parking situation in the city centre in the mobility view of the service map: Mobility map | Service map (turku.fi) and from there Parking areas.
