Why are vehicles relocated?
The city may move vehicles when necessary, for example to enable the maintenance of street areas. A vehicle may be relocated to the city’s storage facility or to a nearby suitable parking space. Abandoned vehicles are also removed from public areas. Property managers may report vehicles left on private property that hinder maintenance or are improperly parked. The vehicle owner is responsible for the costs incurred from moving and storing the vehicle. Vehicle relocations may only be carried out by a competent authority under the Act on the Transfer of Vehicles.
