Turku City Council will discuss the tramway at its meeting on 18 May starting at 18.00. You can follow the meeting live on YouTube.

Decisions related to the tramway project will be proposed to the City Council under two sections.

The first section on the topic includes the actual investment decision on the tramway and the appropriation reservation required for the procurement of the tram vehicles to proceed.

The second section includes work to be carried out in 2026–2028 during the first construction phase of the tramway project before state funding has been confirmed. This includes the renovation of the Cathedral Bridge and related streets, as well as the required archaeological excavations.

The City Council will meet at Linnasmäen opisto at the address Lustokatu 7. Because of the size of the auditorium at Linnasmäen opisto, 26 places have been reserved for the audience. You get a place by registering before the meeting at the Linnasmäki reception. The audience’s places are located at the last two rows at the back of the auditorium, and they are marked with signs. When the places have been filled, the audience can follow the meeting via the live stream in Linnasmäki’s small auditorium.
