Municipal English language day care

Early childhood education is offered in English for children under school age who come from English speaking or bilingual families.

In day care your child will have breakfast, lunch, and a snack. In day care we play in- and outdoors, take part in organized activities, and share mealtimes.

For groups with children under 3 years old, there will be one educator for every four children. For groups with children over 3 years old, there will be one educator for every 7 children.

The selection of children for the international day care centre will focus on children whose one or both parents speak English. It will also prioritise children who would benefit from English language skills in the future, for example if the family is planning to move to an English-speaking country.

Apply for your child’s day care place using early childhood education’s online service eVaka. Submit your application at least four months before your child starts attending.
