Responsibility for public employment services transfers to municipalities on 1 Jan 2025. The Turku Employment Region, with 23 municipalities in Southwest Finland, will have Turku as the lead municipality. This change will affect how employers handle employment service matters.

Transition of Customer Relationships

Employer customer relationships will not automatically transfer to the new employment authorities. However, employer customer information will remain in the system.

You Must Contact Before Using Online Services

From 1 january 2025, employers must first contact the municipality of their choice within the Turku Employment Area by phone, email, or by visiting in person. A new case officer will then be assigned to the employer.

Only after this can employers submit electronic contact requests via JobMarket Finland: Employers and entrepreneurs - Job Market Finland

Telephone services and other contact details will be maintained on a dedicated webpage:

Job Market Finland

Job Market Finland will remain a key online service for employment services. Employers can continue to post job advertisements and search for suitable employees through the service.
