What is the Exercise Wristband?

Check out the City of Turku Exercise Wristband. Choose the option that suits you the best and exercise in the sports facilities of the city at a low cost.

The Exercise Wristband gives you access to the following sports facilities during their opening hours:

What is the Exercise Wristband Extra?

Do you want something extra? Upgrade your wristband to include guided exercise classes. With a single product, you can work out in group sessions led by clubs and also independently at the city’s sports facilities.

With the Exercise Wristband Extra, you can learn about different types of exercise and take part in regular physical activity.

Who is the Exercise Wristband Extra for?

The Exercise Wristband Extra guided group exercise classes are aimed at all adults aged 18–64.
With one product, you can exercise in a variety of guided group exercise classes and sports facilities according to your own schedule.
There are around 30 group exercise classes available
The Exercise Wristband Extra does not include guided water exercises.

Buying the exercise wristband and the Exercise Wristband Extra

Exercise wristband

4-month season pass 84 € / 42 €. The wristband is valid for 4 months.
10-time pass 65 € / 32,5 €. The wristband is valid for 12 months.
Wristband fee 8 € to be paid at the first purchase.

Exercise wristband Extra

Exercise wristband Extra group exercise season card + exercise wristband 105 € / 63 € + wristband fee 8 €.
Exercise wristband Extra can be purchased with an existing 4-month season pass if the wristband has at least three months remaining. The price is 21 €.

Loading the wristband online

If you have a pre-purchased wristband, you can purchase the exercise wristband pass online. That way you can avoid queuing at the checkout.

The purchased pass is activated the first time you use the wristband.

All normal-priced pass purchases for adults and children can be done conveniently online. Promotional products or the seasonal product extra pass can not be purchased online.

Frequently asked questions

Please note before loading

You will need an exercise wristband and online bank credentials.
Online loading is only possible for regular-priced and children's exercise wristbands.
You cannot load adult and children's passes on the same wristband.
Neither discounted group-priced passes (excluding children's products) nor promotional products can be purchased online.
Your personal data will be stored in the customer register. Customer register for exercise wristbands and seasonal products (in Finnish).

The products you purchase online will only be activated on your wristband when the previous visits have been used up.

Checking the balance of your wristband

You can see the number of products remaining on your wristband when you enter the sports venue, or by asking the cashier. You cannot check the balance of your wristband online.

How to purchase passes online

Enter your wristband number in the space provided.
The numberis written on the back of the bracelet or on the receipt from your previous purchase.
Choose the product you want
Pay for your purchase using your online bank credentials. Electronic sport money is not accepted as a means of payment for online purchases.
You will receive a confirmation email if you wish.
The purchase is activated when you enter the sports facility.

Discount groups and discount criteria

4-16 year-olds (free admission for children under 4 years old accompanied by a paying adult)
Students: a valid student ID with a photo or a certificate of student status issued by a Finnish educational institution.
Pensioners: a card for recipients of an earnings-related or national pension, or a payment statement of received pension (also applies to those on partial or disability pension)
Seniors: 65 year-olds and over. For seniors in Turku, the seasonal product download includes admission to sports facilities and cultural attractions, self-directed exercise sessions, guided gym sessions and occasional cultural guided tours
Unemployed: a payment statement, decision, or certificate of unemployment benefits or labour market support, or a decision from the TE Office confirming active job seeking status
Recipients of rehabilitation allowance: a decision on a valid rehabilitation allowance or a payment statement for the rehabilitation allowance
Parents receiving home care allowance: a payment statement for the home care allowance
Military or civilian service members: a conscript or civil service ID card
Turku residents receiving family caregiver allowance: a payslip
Turku residents who are disabled due to a permanent disability or long-term illness: parking permit for persons with mobility impairments, disabled parking permit, taxi card under the Disability Services Act, EU disability card, escort card, or visual impairment card.
Turku residents with a written recommendation from a health care professional: a written certificate from a health care professional (e.g. doctor, nurse, physiotherapist, nutritionist). A recommendation may be written if the professional considers it necessary to increase physical activity as a means of promoting health and well-being or as part of the treatment of a disease. An exercise recommendation can also be written by a sports service officer or a sports counsellor in the City of Turku Sports Services as part of the sports counselling process. The recommendation is valid for one year from the date of issue.

The recommendation must include:
- the name and ID number of the client
- the reason for the recommendation and the date of issue
- information about the body issuing the recommendation (organisation, title, name, signature and name clarification, telephone number)
