Sports from A to Z
With the Exercise Wristband Extra, you can work out independently once a day at Turku city swimming halls, gyms, and during the winter season, skate on artificial ice rinks.
You can join an unlimited number of guided classes, about thirty each week. The weekly program includes ball games, strength training sessions, body care, dance, and martial arts.
The activities are aimed at 18–64-year-old working-age adults.
The activities are organised in cooperation with sports clubs in Turku.
Exercise Wristband Extra, Autumn Season 2026
The autumn season runs from 31 August to 13 December 2026. Season passes go on sale at sales points on Wednesday, 19 August.
Registration for the following week's classes is possible starting on Thursday of the previous week at 6 pm.

There are four different levels of guided classes available, so you can choose the one that suits you best.

Would you like to exercise safely under the guidance of a professional instructor? The sessions take place in a sports hall and include a variety of exercise types and equipment. During the season, the programme includes, among other things, stick gymnastics, functional training, Pilates ball exercises and muscle conditioning training using different equipment.
The groups are suitable for those who want to exercise in a relaxed and safe, yet effective way. Minor musculoskeletal issues or a break from regular exercise are not an obstacle – a qualified instructor will find a suitable way to exercise for everyone. The group offers encouraging instruction and peer support to help maintain regular physical activity.
The group is open to participants with a BMI of 30+.
Equipment: clothing and shoes suitable for indoor exercise.

Level+ Getting Active Easily for people who are overweight (body mass index, or BMI, over 30; blue in the registration calendar)
Suitable for you if you want to exercise in a peer group designed for people who are overweight. No previous experience of guided exercise or the specific sport is required. A professional instructor provides alternative movements individually when needed and helps you find the right level of exertion.
The intensity of the class may be light, brisk, or moderate. You can participate in the group even if you have mild musculoskeletal symptoms, while listening to how your body feels.
In peer-led groups, the instructor participates as a peer alongside the participants. Each participant chooses a suitable level of exertion and movements.
Level 1 Basics for beginners and those returning to exercise (green in the registration calendar)
Suitable for you if you need clear guidance, an easy starting point, and the opportunity to adapt movements to your own level. No previous experience of the activity is required. The group practises calmly, starting from the basics. The instructor provides alternative movements individually when needed and helps you find the right level of exertion.
The intensity of the class may be light, brisk, or moderate. You can participate in the group even if you have mild musculoskeletal symptoms, while listening to how your body feels.
Level 2 Basic level for people with a basic level of fitness (yellow in the registration calendar)
Suitable for you if you already have some experience of the activity or similar training, and you want to train more briskly than before and develop your skills. The instructor may give general guidance on adapting and easing movements.
Participants adapt movements independently and monitor their own level of exertion. The intensity of the class may be light, brisk, moderate, or strenuous.
Level 3 Challenging level for active exercisers (red in the registration calendar)
Suitable for you if you want to develop your skills and challenge yourself in a faster-paced, more physically demanding, or technically more challenging group, and you have a regular exercise background. Previous experience of the activity or similar training is recommended.
Participants adapt movements independently and monitor their own level of exertion. The intensity of the class may be light, brisk, moderate, or strenuous.

Join groups with a valid season card (spring and autumn season). You have to register for individual weekly groups.

Exercise Wristband Extra guided classes 21€ (if you have a 4 month exercise wristband valid for at least three months)
Do you have less than three months left on your exercise wristband and would like to buy access to the spring season's guided classes? Buy a new 4 month recharge + guided classes (105€ / 63€). The new 4 month period of the exercise wristband starts when the old one expires.

How to sign up for an individual guided weekly lesson

1Choose your preferred exercise classes for Exercise Wristband Extra from the weekly calendar
You can see the location of an exercise class by hovering the cursor over the lesson. If there are free places, click on the hour to open the registration form. You can sign up for the following week's classes no earlier than Thursday of the previous week at 18.00.

4The system will tell you if you got a place
A notification of a confirmed seat or a filled group will appear on the screen. You will also receive a booking confirmation by email, as long as you have entered your email address correctly. If you are unable to attend a class, please remember to cancel your sign-up at least 24 hours before the start of the class.

Be there early. The instructor will check your purple season card before the class and mark your attendance on the attendance sheet.
