Move in a variety of ways with one seasonal fee
Season product Extra gives you the chance to try guided group exercise of different types of sport and exercise regularly. The affordable seasonal fee gives you unlimited access to any and all of the about thirty weekly group classes.
The activities are organised in cooperation with sports clubs in Turku.
Monthly product extra will continue in the spring of 2026. The new name of the product is Exercise Wristband Extra. The spring season runs from 12 January–10 May 2026, with spring sales starting on 15 December 2025.
Who can buy an Exercise Wristband Extra?
The activities are aimed at 18–64-year-old working-age adults.
Weekly programme 12 Jan–10 May 2026
The autumn season is 1 Sept–7 Dec 2025, but some groups will continue in the weeks 50 and 51. The spring season is 12 Jan–10 May 2026. The spring weekly programme will be updated.
Primarily, no previous knowledge of the sport is required to participate in the classes, and they are also suitable for those in poorer physical condition and those with minor chronic illnesses. Advanced classes are marked with an asterisk *. These classes have a faster pace and are suitable for those who are looking for a challenge or have little experience of the sport.
The Exercise Wristband Extra also offers classes suitable for overweight people (BMI +30). These groups are for you if you want to exercise in a relaxed and safe way and need the support of a group to exercise regularly.
All classes require a sign-up and have a limited number of places.

- Adult ballet In this class you will learn ballet movements and exercises to classical music. Adult ballet develops muscle strength, balance, mobility and body control. Ballet classes also give you the chance to express your creativity in a safe and friendly atmosphere. Anyone interested in ballet is welcome to join Adult Ballet and no previous dance experience is necessary. More experienced dancers are also welcome, as the challenge of the ballet routines can be varied. Soft ballet slippers/socks and a flexible outfit that is comfortable to move in are suitable equipment.
- Adult casual capoeira training Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian sport combining dance, acrobatics and martial arts, played in pairs to rhythmic music. In this class you will practice the basics of capoeira in a relaxed atmosphere. The class will also include the playing of capoeira instruments. Monday's class is especially good for beginners, Thursday's class for more experienced students. Please wear flexible clothing and slippers/socks.
- Asahi is a Finnish health sport that takes care of the whole body. Asahi is based on western health concepts and exercise medicine. Asahi treats the back, neck and shoulder muscles and promotes balance. We slowly and calmly exercise the whole body. All you need to wear is socks/slippers.
- Asahi Power & Dynamics is an application of Finnish asahi, focusing on body coordination, balance and muscle strength. The lessons can be applied to suit your own level. All you need are socks/slippers.
- BODYPUMP™ muscular strength training in a group. The workout is done to happy and engaging music and almost all the movements are done with the help of a disc bar. The class has movement options for different levels of movers with and without equipment, making it suitable for beginners and advanced learners alike. Equipment: flexible clothing and indoor shoes.
- Circuit Tuesday With varied bodyweight and equipment exercises that activate major muscle groups. The class includes a functional warm-up, technique instruction, the actual workout in circuit form and a restorative final workout. The emphasis is on correct technique and everyone chooses the level that suits them. The class does not include difficult step sequences. Equipment: sweat clothing, indoor shoes, sweat towel and water bottle. The necessary equipment is available in the gym.
- Circuit Friday The class uses your own body weight and the half poles and ropes in the school hall for muscle training movements. Work is done for 45 seconds per movement and run through a circuit. Equipment: flexible clothing and indoor shoes.
- Core & Handlebar is a total muscle conditioning workout that specifically trains the muscles of the midsection with functional movements using a kettlebell or kettlebell. The kettlebell workout is suitable for exercisers of all levels and fitness levels. There are a few different sizes of kettlebells available in the gym, but if you own one, please bring your own (4-8 kg). Equipment: flexible clothing and indoor shoes.
- Curling shift includes 30 minutes of instruction for newcomers. After that, guided play. Helmet compulsory during the shift. You can bring your own helmet, but the hall also has loaner helmets. Bring flexible trousers and clean change of footwear (sneakers or indoor shoes). Make sure the soles of your shoes aren't too worn to keep you upright on the ice.
- HappyHour class is a versatile combination of several different formats. The class will vary between traditional choreographed aerobics and different dance styles. A varied mix that everyone will find fun to move in. Equipment: flexible clothing and indoor shoes.
- Football recreational play in small groups. Equipment: flexible clothing and indoor shoes.
- JyryX functional training is a multi-faceted workout that combines functional muscle training with heart rate increasing components. Inspiration includes HYROX-style workouts: running, smash ball throws, burpees, squats and more. Classes are timed or round robin, solo, in pairs or small groups. Everyone works out at their own level and no previous experience is required - the important thing is to challenge yourself and enjoy the workout in a good group. JyryX classes strengthen your whole body, get your heart rate up and your sweat on. The class doesn't include choreography, but focuses on real movement and the fun of doing. Endorphins and success are guaranteed! Equipment. The necessary equipment is available in the gym.
- Karate The class includes the basics of Kyokushin karate, such as punching and kicking techniques, basic movement, body control and concentration exercises. The class is suitable for beginners and more experienced practitioners. Equipment: flexible clothing.
- Body care
- Stick gymnastics The class includes easy beginner steps with a stick. The cane can be used to increase thigh mobility and improve posture. In addition, the class includes a muscle conditioning section and a final workout. Equipment: own stick, flexible clothing and indoor shoes.
- Fitness gymnastics Monday An effective basic fitness and circuit training session for all ages, using the body's own weight. The class is suitable for beginners and experienced exercisers alike, as you can influence the effectiveness of the class. Bring your own gym mat, indoor shoes and a water bottle, as well as 1-2 kg dumbbells or water bottles on the last Monday of every month.
- Fitness gymnastics Thursday In this class you will raise your heart rate to the beat of music and perform full-body muscle exercises with your own body weight or a rubber band. Equipment: flexible clothing and indoor shoes.
- Fitness weightlifting class includes a variety of exercises to develop mobility and muscle tone. The class also includes basic wrestling techniques and exercises. No previous wrestling background is required. Equipment: flexible clothing and indoor shoes.
- Gym for overweight people Self-led gym class. Peer instructor on site. Intended for overweight people (BMI +30). Equipment: flexible clothing and indoor shoes.
- Walking floorball for men is a lighter version of normal hockey, played on foot, with no racket lifting or contact. Equipment: hockey stick, flexible clothing and indoor shoes.
- Lavis is an easy, fun and sweaty class based on a combination of ballroom dancing and gymnastics. The class ends with a short final refreshment. Lavis is danced alone, so there is no risk of anyone stepping on your toes. No previous experience is necessary. You should wear shoes with a slightly slippery sole for the class.
- Badminton for ladies is a fast-paced racquet game that is suitable for everyone! It can be played in doubles or foursomes. The level of exertion is entirely up to the players themselves. With fitness and skill, you get more power in your training. The game of badminton involves quick changes of direction, possible jumps and a variety of movements in pursuit of the ball. Indoor shoes are included, a racket can be borrowed from the instructor if needed.
- Floorball for ladies and gentlemen Saber is a more informal team game than volleyball. Two teams of four players play on the field, the rest are substituted. Great for improving respiratory and circulatory fitness. You need indoor shoes, you can borrow a racket from the instructor if necessary. In advanced sessions, you run at a faster pace, but you don't need to have a background in the sport.
- Muscular fitness An intense class to develop the muscular fitness of the whole body. Exercise equipment such as rubber bands and kettlebells are used to help with the workout. The class is partly conducted as a fitness circuit. The class increases fitness and is good for the circulatory system. You will need indoor exercise clothing, shoes and a water bottle.
- Group exercise for overweight people A varied programme of varied exercise with a relaxed approach. Also suitable for those who have not exercised for a long time and want to start in a relaxed and safe way. Intended for overweight people (BMI +30). Equipment: flexible clothing and indoor shoes.
- Pilates is a body-management technique developed by the German-American Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century that strengthens the deep muscles of the core, deepens breathing and teaches physiologically correct movement. You will need flexible clothing and your own exercise mat for the class.

Do you have less than three months left on your exercise wristband and would like to buy access to the spring season's guided classes? Buy a new 4 month recharge + guided classes (105€ / 63€). The new 4 month period of the exercise wristband starts when the old one expires.

How to sign up for an individual guided weekly lesson

1Choose your preferred exercise classes for Exercise Wristband Extra from the weekly calendar
You can see the location of an exercise class by hovering the cursor over the lesson. If there are free places, click on the hour to open the registration form. You can sign up for the following week's classes no earlier than Thursday of the previous week at 18.00.

4The system will tell you if you got a place
A notification of a confirmed seat or a filled group will appear on the screen. You will also receive a booking confirmation by email, as long as you have entered your email address correctly. If you are unable to attend a class, please remember to cancel your sign-up at least 24 hours before the start of the class.

Be there early. The instructor will check your purple season card before the class and mark your attendance on the attendance sheet.
