Open pottery workshop
In the open pottery workshops, you can make pottery using traditional hand-building techniques. The potter's wheels are available to work with independently. If you have never done pottery before, we recommend you start with the Pottery for Beginners course or the Potter's Wheel course.
Open pottery workshops: Mondays from 9.30AM to 11.30AM and 12PM to 3PM, Thursdays from 5PM to 8PM, and Fridays from 12PM to 3PM.
There are 15 places in the workshop, unless otherwise stated.

Please sign up in advance for the open pottery workshop. Registration opens at noon on the Friday of the week before the workshop.
Remember to claim your place before the workshop. The reserved seat must be claimed by the start time of the workshop. After that the reserved seat can be given to another client. You can claim your place well in advance on the day of the workshop, thus avoiding a last-minute queue.
Cancellation of a reserved seat. You can cancel via the booking confirmation email you receive. You can also cancel your booking by calling Vimma's customer service or by emailing vimma@turku.fi.
Open graphics and fabric printing workshop
Practise basic graphics techniques or deepen your skills. From gravure printing techniques, you can try watercolour monotype and dry needle techniques, and relief printing on soft cut plates. You'll also get to hand print on canvas using a variety of techniques.
No sign-up, places are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Open graphics and fabric printing workshop is held on Wednesdays from 5PM to 8PM.
Prices
- Participation fee: 2.50€ per session, free for under 18 years.
- Material fee: depending on the materials used, usually a few euros.
Payments are made at the customer service desk on the 1st floor of Vimma. We prefer card payment and contactless payment.
