Hiring a facility in a nutshell
Vimma facilities can be hired by associations, private individuals, companies and groups of young people.
The rent depends on the hired facility, the price group, the caretaker services and other additional services.
The facilities are not available for rent on Tuesdays or on weekends.

Facilities for hire at Vimma
Hall (3rd floor)
In the hall, you can organise concerts, performances, larger lectures and seminars. The maximum capacity in the Hall is 40–160 people, depending on the nature of the event.
The Hall has fixed lighting and sound technology. Our technology supervisor Jyrki Vuori will help you with any technical questions.
Price from 1 April 2025
- Price group 1: Price €28/h
- Price group 2: Price €78/h
- In addition, if necessary, a sound/light technician 39 €/h (price group 1), 46 €/h (price group 2) Minimum charge 1 h.
- If necessary, security steward €31/h (price group 1), €36/h (price group 2) /steward. Minimum charge 3h.
- Caretaker services outside normal opening hours €31/h (price group 1), €36/h (price group 2).
Theatre (2nd floor)
The Theatre is well suited for organising lectures and training, clubs and small-scale performances. The Theatre has fixed lighting and sound technology. The maximum capacity is 40 people.

Meeting room (2nd floor)
In the meeting room, you can organise smaller gatherings and meetings. The maximum capacity is 12 people.

Payment categories
The price of the rental is determined by the payment category.
Price group 1, discount
- Child and youth groups of youth, sports, cultural and other recreational associations in Turku
- Youth action groups
- Groups from disability organisations
- Child and youth groups from other sectors of the City of Turku
- Associations, organisations and clubs from outside of Turku that will organise activities for children and young people in Turku during the reservation period.
Price group 2
- Adult groups, associations, companies, private persons
Cancelling a reservation and cancellation fees
Make the cancellation in writing to Vimma Customer Service via e-mail vimma@turku.fi.
Cancellation fees
You can cancel the booking free of charge one month before the booking date.
If you cancel your booking later, we will charge you a cancellation fee as follows:
- When your booking is less than one month away: 30% of booking price
- When your booking is less than two weeks away: 50% of booking price
- When your booking is less than one week away: 100% of booking price
Terms for using premises
At the end of the booking, the facilities must be tidy and the furniture must be returned to their original places.
After the booking, Vimma personnel will check that the facilities, supplies and equipment used are in the same condition as before the start of the booking.
Users are responsible for maintaining order during their booking and that the facilities and equipment are used appropriately.
The person in charge indicated in the reservation confirmation is responsible for:
- Following the operating and safety instructions given by the Vimma personnel.
- Co-operating with Vimma personnel.
- Ensuring that the allocated operating times are observed.
- Making sure that no outsiders are present in the booked facilities.
- Reporting to Vimma personnel the number of people arriving for the booking.
- Reporting any accidents that take place in the facilities to Vimma personnel.
- Before leaving, checking that the facilities, supplies and equipment are tidied and left in the same condition as they were at the start of the booking.
Bringing and using intoxicants in the Vimma youth facility or its vicinity is strictly prohibited during a public event or at an event intended for people under the age of 18, or when there are young people under the age of 18 in the vicinity at the same time. (Alcohol Act 1143/1994, Tobacco Act 549/2016).
If the event organised in the youth centre is a closed event where alcoholic beverages are consumed and no activities are organised for people under the age of 18 in the building or area at the same time, the person in charge must ensure that the police is notified of the event in accordance with section 59 of the Alcohol Act.
Pets are not allowed in Vimma facilities.
For a justified reason, Vimma has the right to commission the shift for its own use or other use.
Vimma can cancel the booking for the following reasons:
- The user causes disturbance and harm to other users of the youth facility or residents of the environment, for example by leaving the facilities in an untidy condition.
- The user has not followed the instructions decreed by the Cultural and Youth Committee or the additional instructions provided by Youth Services.
The Director of Youth Services may, on the basis of vandalism, neglect of instructions, or for some other similar reason, impose a temporary ban on the user for a maximum of two years.
