The route to the main entrance

• The 6 accessible parking spaces are located outdoors over 10 m from the entrance. The width of the parking spaces is at least 3.6 m.

• The pick-up and drop-off area is located in the vicinity of the entrance, giving easy access to the pavement.
• The route to the entrance is guided, smooth and sufficiently wide and illuminated.

The main entrance

• The entrance is located in a recess and is illuminated.
• The doors connected to the entrance are hard to perceive. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door opens automatically with a motion sensor.

In the facility

• The sports facilities are located on floor 1.
• For moving around, there is a lift, which can hold 2 wheelchairs,; the door opens automatically. The floor numbers in the lift can be felt with fingers. The button for the exit floor stands out from the other buttons. (The minimum dimensions for a stretcher in a lift are width 1.2 m and depth 2.3 m.)
• The service point has directions to the different facilities and uses movement-guiding surface material.
• The facility has an accessible toilet on the entrance floor.
• The customer service/cashier's desk is located on the same floor as the entrance.
• The customer service/cashier's desk can be found easily. The desk has sections of varying heights and is accessible to customers sitting down or standing.
• The facility features a quiet area for guide and aid dogs.

Dressing room, shower room and sauna

• The dressing rooms are located on the same floor as the sports facilities.
• The facility has a separate accessible dressing room. The door opens automatically with a motion sensor. The doorway has no threshold.
• The separate accessible dressing room features a dressing bench and sufficient room for an assistant. Good illumination and clear contrasts facilitate spatial perception. The numbering of the lockers is clearly legible and tangible by hand (embossed or Braille numbers). An accessible toilet is connected to the dressing room.
• An accessible shower room is available in connection to the separate accessible dressing room. An embossed sign is provided next to the door of the shower room. The door opens easily manually. The doorway has a low threshold.
• The shower room has a more spacious and accessible showering spot with a seat and armrest as well as a support railing.
• An accessible sauna is available in connection to the separate accessible dressing room. The door opens easily manually.
• The sauna has room for two wheelchairs. It is possible to move onto the lowest bench from the wheelchair. The upper benches can be accessed through easily navigable steps with handrails.

Sports facilities

• Room is available next to the pools for storing aids during swimming. The handrails on the wall facilitate navigating the pool area.
• The large/deep pool features accessible entry via a pool lift or gently-sloping steps. The steps have handrails on both sides.
• The children's pool features accessible entry via gently-sloping steps or a ramp. The steps and ramp have handrails on both sides.
• The teaching pool features accessible entry via gently-sloping steps or a ramp. The steps and ramp have handrails on both sides.
• An accessible toilet is available in the pool area.

Seating area

• The sports facility features a spectators' seating area whose stairs have handrails on one side and the steps have contrast markings. The seats have been highlighted from their surroundings with contrast.
• The seating area features 4 accessible spots suitable for a wheelchair, which are located in the back row. The accessible spots provide an unobstructed view of the event. The seating area features separate seats in addition to the fixed ones.
• There is sufficient room by the accessible spots for wheelchairs to pass each other.
