Impivaara Swimming Centre has spacious and versatile gyms for strength training and aerobic exercises.

With the entrance fee, you gain access to both swimming and gym. The minimum age for using the gym is 15 years. 13–14-year-olds may exercise under the supervision of a parent or a coach.

Public gym Jukola (250 m2)

  • The gym is located on the entrance level of the swimming centre.
  • The gym is open to all paying customers during the swimming centre's opening hours.
  • The gym has a comprehensive selection of various weight machines, free weights, benches, etc.
  • The gym is not reserved for any specific groups.

Warm-up gym Toukola (70 m2)

  • The gym is located next to the public gym Jukola.
  • The gym is open to all paying customers during the swimming centre's opening hours.
  • The gym offers a wide variety of warm-up equipment: rowing machines, treadmills, cross trainers, fitness and spinning bikes, steppers, and ski ergometers, totaling 16 units.
  • The warm-up gym's equipment is primarily intended for short warm-ups. If there are just a few users, you can also perform longer aerobic exercises.

Reservation-based gym Männistö (130 m2)

  • The gym is located on the top (3rd) floor.
  • The gym operates primarily on a reservation basis.
  • Reservations for the gym can be made through the Timmi booking calendar. Priority for booking goes to the Sports Services Center’s own groups, water sports clubs, and clubs or associations organizing special exercise programs.
  • Weekly open public sessions are also held for all those who have paid the swimming centre entrance fee.
  • The gym is equipped with accessible features. For example, there are HUR machines, which work with air pressure control. They are easy to access for people with mobility restrictions, and adjusting the resistance is simple.
