In VoiTas groups, beginners over 75 years old improve their fitness with strength and balance training at the gym.

Service description

In VoiTas heavy exercise groups, beginners over 75 years of age improve their fitness through strength and balance training. You train at the gym twice a week for eight weeks. The training aims at improving the muscle strength of legs in particular. Increased muscle strength helps to improve your functional capacity, making everyday chores and mobility easier.

The class instructor is a physiotherapist or a sports professional. The aim is that after the classes end, you will be able to continue to regularly train independently in a location you have agreed on together with the instructor.

Who is the service intended for?

The groups are specifically for you if:

  • You have noticed mild and emerging mobility challenges, but you can move easily indoors without mobility aids.
  • You live independently at home without regular home care services.
  • You want to increase physical activity in your everyday life.
  • You are ready to commit to the group and continue exercising after the course.
  • You have not previously participated in a VoiTas heavy exercise group.

We also have other options if the VoiTas heavy exercise group is not suitable for you.
