The perpetual mover never stops! The senior wristband encourages you to stay active and pursue hobbies according to your own schedule – affordably. One wristband gives you access to City's swimming facilities, gyms, and cultural events, as well as guided exercise groups.
Benefits and services for Senior Wristband holders
The wristband offers versatile services. It also includes varying seasonal benefits and invites to events. Information about activities and benefits is communicated via text messages.
- Impivaara Swimming Centre
- The gym on the entrance floor (Jukola) is always open to the public. The gym on the 3rd floor (Männistö) is available during public sessions. You can check public session times in the booking calendar or by asking the customer service at the centre.
- Kupittaa Sports Hall
- Senior independent training sessions in the reservation gym on Mondays 1PM–2:30PM, Thursdays 11AM–12:15PM, and Fridays 9:30AM–11AM from January 5 to May 29
- Petrelius Swimming Hall
- Guided gym sessions for seniors on Wednesdays 3PM–4PM from January 14 to 29 April (not February 18)

- New gym (Seuravuorenkatu 2). Open 6AM–10PM. Entrance through the store doors from 8AM–10PM and through the back door from 6AM–8AM. One shower stall available.

- Pansio Gym
- Senior wristband holders can train when customer service is open.

- Available only during seniors’ guided gym sessions on Thursdays from 9.30AM–11AM and from January 15 to April 23 (not February 19, April 2).
- Samppalinna Outdoor Swimming Stadium
- Kupittaa Outdoor Swimming Arena
- Kupittaa Skating Rink : Skates and roller skates can be borrowed free of charge from the skate rental.
- Impivaara Ski Rental : Ski equipment can be borrowed free of charge from the ski rental during the winter season.
- Park Field
- Kupittaa Multipurpose Court: The field is made into an ice skating rink during winter time.
Starter courses help adults aged 65 and over get started with exercise, especially those who are new to physical activity and need guidance in strength and balance training.
These six-week courses include one guided gym session per week with a professional instructor. To participate, you need a valid senior wristband.

If your functional capacity is reduced or you use walking aids (such as a cane or walker), the adapted starter course is designed for you.

At KuntoVoiTas group exercise classes, you can improve your fitness in good company. The classes include strength, balance, and mobility exercises suitable for all fitness levels, as the instructor provides alternatives for the exercises. Adapted classes are especially suitable for beginners and those with reduced functional mobility. People using walking aids (cane, walker) can also participate.
No registration is required for the groups. Participation requires a valid senior wristband, so please bring your green validation card with you. Please inform the instructor before the class starts if you have any mobility limitations.

Senior wristband holders get free weekday admissions to museums during opening hours. Remember to bring your valid senior wristband certificate.
The Senior Wristband includes a variety of benefits related to culture, physical activity, lectures and spectator sports. Current seasonal benefits are listed below. Turku City Theatre
- Turku City Theatre offers Senior Wristband holders two tickets for the price of one standard ticket (28€) to the children’s performance Pinocchio on Friday 6 February at 12:00. Recommended age from 6 years. Duration 2 hours including intermission

+65 Disco
Come and dance at the +65 disco! The disco brings joy, exercise and dazzling disco lights to late winter. The +65 disco is held at the Vimma Arts and Activity Centre. The event is free of charge but requires electronic registration.

Library tour at Turku Main Library
- Turku Main Library is one of the busiest public libraries in the Nordic countries. During the tour, participants will explore the facilities and diverse services of the library

TFO concert tickets at a special price
During the spring season 2026, the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra invites Senior Wristband holders to a concert at a special price.

- With the Senior Wristband, you receive a 10% discount on the Hyvä ikä test package at the Paavo Nurmi Centre

An application has been submitted to extend funding for sessions at private gyms in 2026. If the decision is favorable, the sessions will take place during spring 2026. We will share further details as soon as the funding decision is confirmed, at the latest around late February to early March.
Who can get a Senior Wristband?
The senior wristband is intended for Turku residents aged 65 and over.
How to buy a Senior Wristband
You can buy the senior wristband at the Turku City Sports Services customer service point, at Impivaara Swimming Centre, Petrelius Swimming Hall, Samppalinna Outdoor Swimming Stadium, Monitori by the Market Square, and at the Kupittaa Bowling Alley.
Currently, the senior wristband cannot be loaded online. ID will be checked at the time of purchase. The wristband is personal and can be used once per day. Upon purchase, you will receive a green validation card, which you should always carry along with the wristband.
